UltraFit WinCrest Evo Windshield Protection Film

Windshields in Colorado crack constantly. Our Windshield Protection Film is an invisible layer applied to the exterior of your glass. It absorbs the impact of rocks that would normally cause chips or cracks, saving you the hassle and cost of frequent windshield replacements.

How Does Paint Protection Film Actually Work?

How can a thin layer of plastic stop a rock chip at 70 mph? It all comes down to some impressive material science.

Impact Absorption

PPF is made from thermoplastic urethane, a durable and impact-resistant material. When a rock hits the film, the urethane absorbs and disperses the energy, preventing it from chipping the paint underneath.

Self-Healing

The coolest part is its ability to self-heal. High-quality films contain elastomeric polymers that return to their natural shape after being stretched. If you get fine scratches or swirl marks, parking your car in the sun or pouring warm water on the area will cause the film to "heal," making the marks disappear. It’s like magic, but it’s just really good engineering.

Why You Need PPF in Colorado

If you lived somewhere with perfect roads and no winter, maybe you could skip the PPF. But you live here. In Northglenn and the greater Denver area, we deal with a unique set of hazards that destroy paint faster than almost anywhere else.

Winter Road Grit

During winter, sand and magnesium chloride are spread on roads, creating a gritty mix that acts like sandpaper on your front bumper and hood.

UV Protection at High Altitudes

The intense UV exposure at high altitudes can fade and degrade unprotected surfaces. Paint Protection Film (PPF) blocks 99% of UV rays, keeping your vehicle's paint vibrant and protected.

Gravel Damage on Highways

With the amount of gravel on highways, your hood is constantly at risk. A quality PPF installation can mean the difference between a pristine hood and one covered in dents and chips after just a few winters.

Myths About Paint Protection Film

There is a lot of outdated information floating around about clear bras. Let’s clear the air.

  • Myth 1: It turns yellow over time.

This used to be true for old-school film from ten years ago. Modern PPF uses advanced adhesives and top coats that are UV stable. We use high-quality film that is guaranteed not to yellow, keeping your white car looking white.

  • Myth 2: It’s visible and ugly.

A bad install is visible. A great install is nearly invisible. We wrap the edges wherever possible and custom-cut the film to fit your specific vehicle perfectly. Most people won’t even know it’s there unless you point it out.

  • Myth 3: It damages the paint when removed.

Actually, it preserves it. As long as the paint is factory original or was repainted properly, PPF can be removed safely by a professional without pulling up any paint, leaving pristine clear coat underneath.

Frequently Asked Questions About Paint Protection Film

  • Can I wax or ceramic coat over PPF?

Yes, absolutely. In fact, we recommend it. A ceramic coating on top of the film makes it easier to clean and adds extra slickness. You can also wax it, just be sure to use a wax that doesn't contain naphtha or kerosene in high concentrations, and avoid buildup along the edges of the film.

  • How long does the installation take?

Quality takes time. A Critical Impact package might take 1-2 days. A Full Body wrap can take 5-7 days. We need time to prep the paint, install the film, and allow it to dry and cure properly before we hand the keys back to you.

  • Can you install PPF on a car that already has chips?

We can, but it’s important to know that PPF will not hide existing chips. It might actually make them slightly more visible because the film creates an air pocket around the chip. We recommend touching up any chips before installation for the best look, or better yet, installing it when the car is new.

  • Is the warranty transferable?

Our 10-year warranty is tied to the vehicle and the maintenance schedule. If you sell the car, the protection goes with it, provided the inspections have been kept up to date.

  • What happens during the yearly inspection?

We check the edges of the film to make sure they aren't lifting. We look for any staining or issues with the adhesive. It’s a quick check to ensure the film is performing exactly as it should, so you don't run into problems down the road.
